A leader is someone who leads or commands. Although leadership styles may vary, all leaders have something in common. All leaders have a vision and they are motivated to achieve it. Macbeth and Beowulf were different types of leaders. Macbeth was viewed as an evil leader and Beowulf as a great leader.
Macbeth and Beowulf both became kings. Their journey to kingship was different. Macbeth and his prophecies made him take a different route to his kingship. He was willing to do anything in order to become and stay king. Beowulf on the other hand earned his kingship with good deeds.  They both had obstacles to overcome but they went about it differently.
A leader is an individual usually looked up too. Beowulf indeed was looked up too. He was a great leader in the eyes of his people. He sacrificed himself getting killed in order to save his. On the other hand Macbeth killed people in order to remain king. Instead of saving and doing good deeds for his people, he was killing them. Beowulf’s death resembled death for trying to protect his people, while Macbeth is killed by his own thoughts and conscious.
Macbeth during his journey to kingship had someone by his side, He had Lady Macbeth. Lady Macbeth influenced him to do certain things. In contrast Beowulf did not. He did receive an offer from grendels mother he could not give up. The influence of these females had a different effect. Lady Macbeth influenced Macbeth negatively to hurt others while Beowulf only hurt himself.
In conclusion, Macbeth and Beowulf had two different leadership styles. Good vs. evil. They used their powers differently. Macbeth was an evil leader people disliked while Beowulf became leader because people choose him. They were both viewed as leaders whether good or bad.
